What Am I?  Why Am I Here? What is the purpose to life?  Is life just a random process of Evolution, or is there a greater ‘Will’ or purpose to everything?  These are valid questions, and are usually the starting point of a marvelous Journey inwards that sparks the development of one’s ‘Individualized Soul’.

Most people search high and low through various religions and philosophies and find that they still come up short. 

Some of the answers, satisfy them for the meantime, and some remain ‘stuck’ or crystalized in that mental pattern of thinking. 

For others, there still is something stirring within them, a need that must be satisfied, a desire that must be met, and sense of completion or something that must be finalized. 

They know that their current paradigm of life doesn’t quite fit with the things that they experience, or ponder upon.  Common Sense seems to elude these rules and regulations that have forced them into patterns of structural thinking, that their every expanding mind can no longer remain contained by.

Sometimes they face the wrath of family or friends who want them to remain as they are, people who also believe as they once did, and have difficulty accepting that things can be any other way else. 

It takes great courage to go against the herd, but every instinct within them drives them to that conclusion.  In order to perceive things outside of the box, they must step outside of their usual circles of influence that has reinforced within them their previous ways of thinking. 

They know that they will return at a later time, but in the meantime, they must shed their skin, their cocoon, which has become suffocating and stifling.

They have questions that must be answered, and so they journey through different philosophies and ways of thinking, searching, sampling, tasting.  They find things that work, and things that don’t. 

They meet others on this path of self-discovery and share their experiences with each other.  Different paths leading to different places but all having the same intention.  Some lead one to find what they are looking for, others lead to dead ends. 

For those whose determination is strong, their will, manifests an open path, a doorway into their inner being. 

The right tools, the right people, find their way into their life, and something stirs within them.  There is a sense or feeling of excitement and anticipation.  Could this be it?  Is this what they’ve been searching for? 

Will this finally connect all the pieces together that not only satisfies their logical mind but comforts their heart?  Will this lead them to the answers they’ve been searching for?

Somewhat skeptical, and perhaps jaded, they look upon it with reluctance, but they cannot ignore the feeling growing inside, pressing them forward.  Just one more.   You are almost there.  They open themselves up to discovery and to their surprise, the dots in their head begin to connect together.  A fog in their mind starts to lift and they experience mental clarity.  

Looking around at their environment, they look at everything with different eyes.  Things seem so much clearer.  They finally Understand, and they are joyful that they have arrived. 

They sigh and relax, glad they’ve finally found a Source of answers and direction, that they’ve been searching high and low for, but they know they cannot stop now for the Real Journey has just begun.

The Purpose of Life has many layers.  No one thing can fully ‘express it’, but understanding as many of those layers as possible will help one to assimilate the bigger picture.  To answer that question, there are things that one must take into consideration, otherwise the meaning will not be clear.  

If I said the purpose of a hammer was to build things, but you grew up in the forest and never seen a hammer or what could be made with one, it wouldn’t make sense.

So in order to answer the question, why we are here, one must start at the beginning so they can take the answer in its proper context. 

The 6 base questions anyone can ask are ‘Who, What, Where, When, Why and How’.  We want to know Why. We already know ‘Where’ we are, so first let’s talk about How we got here.  To answer that, we will need to talk about Who or What started everything in motion, and When it all started.

The Average person will say that the World is split into two belief systems.  Those that believe in some form of Creation as the sole means of how this Universe came into Existence, and those that believe in a Random Big-Bang approach to life coming into being. 

There is in fact… A 3^rd answer.

Those that believe that the Universe came from a Big-Bang that wasn’t random, but was an Act of Creation, and that Evolution is not a random process but one that is governed by Universal Laws and Directed by a Universal Mind.  I myself, realized the validity of the 3^rd option. 

Let’s look at the other 2 belief systems and dissect them and then turn to the 3^rd option and compare it’s validity.

The Concept of a God creating the Universe seems plausible.  The Universe is vast, and there is order and structure to everything in existence.  Everything follows a pattern, and like clockwork the gears and pulleys of this vast ‘Universal’ Machine or Organism continues to flow.  The cycle of existence perpetuates its own balance and expansion.  Every law of physics we have will tell us that  you cannot have patterns and structure without an Intelligence to instigate and maintain that order.  Even Chaos Theory says that at the highest level of perceptible Chaos there is Order.

The Universe which is expanding, is said that at the Big Bang, if it expanded any slower than it did, the Universe would have either collapsed on itself, or the wide spectrum of atomic structures of matter would have never formed.  If it expanded any faster, the same thing.  The full spectrum of atomic structure would have never formed.  The Expansion of the Universe happened and is happening at the exact pace as was necessary to support the widest spectrum of Sentient Life within this Universe.  Did that just ‘happen’ by chance?  What makes ‘sense’ is that there is a Force of Will behind it all.

The problem is, is that the religions and Creationist beliefs usually have ‘skewed’ views of what this Creator actually is, and how the Universe was created, so even though that part of their belief system is correct, it takes you down a path that leads to dead ends Spiritually. You are taught to believe that God is a Jealous or Vengeful being.  That if you don’t follow his instructions exactly, you will Burn for it.  God loves you but will Torture you if you misbehave.  Sounds more dangerous than the typical Alcoholic, Abusive Parent. 

We are told that the Universe was made in a few days, which defies logic and science.  We are told that God is like a Human being, and Individual being that Exists within the Universe or some other place where he watches our actions and judges us accordingly.  In more primitive societies, this belief system was suitable at the time, for it helps more barbaric minds act more civil, but times have changed, and people have outgrown these concepts and ideas.

Now, let’s look at the Big-Bang Evolution Theory.  This theory is also quite plausible, for it takes into consideration the Age of the Universe.  It is very old, but yet is a baby in comparison to how long it will live for.  We understand that the Universe is expanding, and so the question is, where is it expanding from?  Was there a finite point where the expansion originated?  According to this theory which makes sense, there is.  But the cause of this is unknown, and a random occurrence, which is where our logical mind says, what a minute here, that doesn’t make sense.

That is no different than saying that the Universe was made in Several days, or the God told the first Man not to eat a fruit, then tempted him with it, and subsequently punished him and all his descendants severely for that one mistake.

The Big Bang Theory takes into consideration the Evolutionary process, that life forms evolve and adapt based on their environment, and for other reasons the theory can’t explain.  This as well makes sense when you discover the science behind evolution, and that there are examples of evolution happening right now.  The problem is that it doesn’t take into account the fact that each evolutionary process fulfills a problem or scenario and isn’t just random occurrences. 

Animals evolve defensive systems to allow it’s species to survive over thousands of years, but the animals themselves are not ‘conscious’ enough of their own physiology or genetic makeup to affect such precise and life-saving alterations.  So if it is all random acts, it is like a person rolling a pair of dice and getting the same number over and over and over again, repeatedly, and only failing perhaps 1 out of 1000 times.

The many random events we see in life, upon closer observation, have a pattern and structure to them.  From how sunflower seeds organize themselves in the flower with mathematical precision and mathematical patterns for distribution, to the movements and clockwork of the rotation of planets, stars and galaxies.  We see there is an order and balance to all things.  That balance existed long before humans walked this planet, so we may jump to say, that it just is the way it is.

We may not ‘see’ a Force Guiding and ‘orchestrating’ that balance, like a musical conductor keeping all instruments in balance for the perfect harmony of symphony.  That doesn’t mean we should deny what logic is telling us must be there, that order doesn’t exist without something to maintain that balance.

So the Big Bang/Evolution theory although sound, lacks certain components for it to be something that bridges our thinking to understand the Full Picture and finally answer the Question, Why We Are Here?

Now let’s look at the 3^rd alternative viewpoint:

These 2 concepts are in fact different sides of the same coin.  Let’s give credit, where credit is due.  Scientist’s aren’t stupid.  They know their stuff.  They wouldn’t publishing findings unless they can stake their reputation on it, and the research into Evolution and the Big Bang is very sound.

But those who believe in a God or Creator are not crazy either.  They have a sense about them, and are able to sense or have experienced things that are not 100% ‘explainable’ by science at this point, but are 100% real, and are ‘shared’ experiences by others.  It doesn’t mean that everything that people attest of being done by God, is in fact due to some ‘higher power’.  Most of the time it isn’t, but there are still very unique experiences which do Originate from a Higher Consciousness, or Universal Mind.

So we have those that believe the birthing of this Universe to be a random Big Bang event, and others believe it was a specific creation by God.    We know that there are patterns to everything, and that what is perceived as random, now Science can see that it actually isn’t.  The Universe is a place of Order.  The Universe is expanding at the rate it was intended to support life.  But we also know that there was a time the Universe was much smaller than it is now, and was even the size of the tennis ball, the size of a marble, the size of a Pin of a needle, the size of an atom, and at one point, never existed.

So we know the Big Bang Theory, makes logical sense, and likely happened to some degree as we’ve figured out at this point.  The question is, Where did the Big Bang come from to begin with.  Where did all the energy that formed matter, come from to begin with?  What Force sparked the Birthing of the Universe at the exactly speed of expansion necessary for the Universe to form the way it did.  Who is the ‘Chef’, or ‘Architect’?

This is where were we are lead to a Universal Mind of Consciousness that Existed before the Universe as it is, became a Thought in It’s Mind, and grew into the Universe we have Today.  It is not the ‘God’ of the Bible, or most religions.  It is something far more marvelous.  It is not a being sitting on a throne.  It is not watching you and judging you for everything you do.  The fact is, we all exist and live ‘within’ it. 

That is why there is a pattern and program to everything around us.  It is all existing within the Mind of the Universal Organism.  Just as your Mind and Body has patterns and programs that govern and dictate your actions and responses to different stimuli, so the Universal Mind and the Universal Body of stars, galaxies and planets all have  patterns, programs and ways that it reacts to the things happening within it.

So yes, the Big Bang is Real, Evolution is an actual process happening all the time, but it is not a random process.  It is governed by a Consciousness, that is directing the Path and Direction that all that exists within it, this Universe is growing and evolving to. 

So we’ve discussed, Who/What started this Universe, When it happened, billions of years ago, How it happened for the most part, the Big Bang, and that now brings us to the Why.

Why are We Here?

Just saying that we are here because this Universal Mind decided to Birth a Universe within itself, is not enough.  What is the purpose of Sentient Lifeforms?  Why do we have Self Awareness?  What is the purpose of Creativity and Consciousness?

Well, let’s understand that the Universal Mind births this Universal of Matter and structure within it, but before life began, it was just an ensemble of the periodic table.  The patterns and structures of oceans, rocks, ravines, sky, stars, star dusk, comets, etc are beautiful, but there into not much ‘diversity’ to their functions.  The cycles are slow and methodic, and seasons of change take decades, centuries and millennia.

The Universal Mind, which we will call the Force, for the most part is observing it all.  As this ‘Guiding’ Force, it is influencing, and directing these movements, and still is.  But simply operating the seasons of this planet for example, the weather, the oceanic cycles, the patterns of sand that move across the landscape, that is a very limited experience for the Force.

It wanted to experience itself as this Universal Body in more ‘detail’.  It wanted to experience more and create more ‘patterns’, more combinations, more probability, so that it could experience as much as this Universe could possibly generate.

So it decided to create life in this dimension, this Universe.  Lifeforms would be Animated Forms of Matter with a level of Consciousness and Awareness of its surroundings.  These beings would have part of its Essence within it, so that it would be able to Guide and influence its functions so that that all things remains in balance.  Now it had a way of integrating within itself, the Universe, not just on a Macro, planetary or galactic level, but on a Micro, cellular, microscopic level. 

A whole new world of possibility now opened up to the Force.  A Universe of inanimate matter became alive with cellular life.  This life became more complex over time, and evolved into increasingly complex lifeforms, of co-existing and synergistic cellular collaborations, containing increasingly higher levels of Consciousness and Awareness.

On this planet, eventually you end up with a being, such as humans, who have self-awareness and Consciousness.  Unfortunately, the side-affect of this, is that our Biological, Micro Universe, has so much Consciousness, that it can operate and make decisions on its own, within its own framework.  This has causes our Species to become more ‘self-reliant’ than our natural dependence on the Guiding Hand of the Force.

So this has resulted in Humans taking actions that have caused their ecosystems to fall out of balance, in very destructive ways.  The benefit to this tumult, is that these birth pangs of growth hopefully will result in the Collective Consciousness of the Planet, of which Humans are at the Apex, will resolve its issues, and Unite as One Planet, One Community, and return to a state of Balance with the Force and Universe.

Then Humans on this planet will be a true Force for change and growth, not just for Earth but for all planets will travel to and seed with our plants, life forms and DNA.

Thus the Force as a Collective Consciousness of all the life forms it Willed into Existence so that it could operate on a Micro Level and experience things it couldn’t, just as this Universal Energy Field of Consciousness, will be able to grow and evolve as a Universal Organism.

So One could say that our Purpose is to Experience, for all our Experiences are pooled together as One experience for the Force.  Another could say we are Here to Serve this Universal Consciousness, and become One Unified, Collective Consciousness of Beings on this Planet.  Why?  Because we are not just Separate Beings, we are Part of this Universal Organisms.  We are Cells of this Universal Body of God, just as the Cells of our Body are part of you.
